Annotation | Many people and their carers suffer from social isolation because of the difficulties they face in going about their daily lives. This report provides resource material for those interested running awareness-raising workshops or training for their club members, staff or volunteers. There is no single solution to changing attitudes and behaviour towards those with dementia, but providing accurate information is an important start. The final chapter includes recommendations for reducing stigma, raising awareness and creating more dementia-friendly communities. (RH). |
