Annotation | This issue of the Journal of Gerontological Social Work highlights co-operative relationships that are being developed between lawyers, social workers, nurses and other professionals in the US in response to multi-faceted problems faced by their ageing clients. By reaching out to older people and their families with innovative methods and collaborative team approaches, these professionals advise clients on their options and implement legal and social services plans for them that are carefully planned and monitored. Despite prohibitions against multidisciplinary practices in legal ethics codes, various holistic models of service have been developed that are illustrative. Some of these new models are described.
