Annotation | "Buying Time" is a 3-year comparative study of a short-stay residential rehabilitation unit for older people. It is based at the University of Exeter, and funded jointly by the NHS Executive South West and the Centre for Evidence-Based Social Services (a consortium of 16 local authorities in the south-west). This is the first of two articles evaluating the service. It highlights some key principles about the research on the health / social care interface. The authors describe and give reasons for their chosen methodology. (RH). |
