Annotation | The authors examine the operation of a multi-disciplinary panel composed of health and social services representatives in the London Borough of Greenwich, which involves older people and their families in decisions about entering care. The Borough funded the research as a commitment to evidence-based practice. The research involved secondary quantitative analyses of documents used by Greenwich's multi-disciplinary panel from June 1996 to March 2000. This involved examining the movement of 1375 older people (aged 60+) into long-term care. (KJ/RH). |
