AnnotationThis circular announces the regulations amending the Residential Accommodation (Relevant Premises, Ordinary Residence and Exemptions) Regulations 1993. The Residential Accommodation (Relevant Premises, Ordinary Residence and Exemptions) (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2001 allow councils to support those people with preserved rights in their existing residential care or nursing home who face eviction but who could hitherto receive such support only in a different care home. The Regulations come into force on lst June 2001. This guidance supplements that set out in LAC(93)6, particularly paragraphs 16, 23 and 24. This circular was cancelled on 8 April 2002, when it was superseded by LAC(2002)7. (KJ / RH).
