AnnotationThe aim of the project was to gain a better understanding and to identify the changes needed for "dignity" to be achieved for black and minority ethnic (BME) elders in hospital. This report explains the methods used to establish BME responses from the interviews, including use of the SWOT method, whereby BME respondents could identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Results of interviews with managers are outlined, and findings overall are analysed. The central recommendation is that a BME elder sensitive strategy should be produced and implemented. (RH).
