AnnotationCommunity and hospital services for older people in Moray were reviewed. The inspection comments on service users' view of the service, the quality of life for in-patients, and an overview of clinical services. An assessment is made of performance against the SHAS Quality Indicators. Examples of good practice include: good relationships and joint working between health and social work; assistance with improving patients' nutritional needs; discharge planning at community hospitals; palliative care services and training for staff; and developments of an integrated care pathway in orthopaedics for patients with fractured hips. Recommendations are made for improving an otherwise limited service for older people. (RH).
