Annotation | In this study, hallucinations and delusions occurred with increasing frequency, but with near identical presentations in Parkinson's disease with or without dementia, and dementia with Lewy bodies. Major and minor depression occurred with similar frequency in Parkinson's disease and dementia with Lewy bodies. The results support the hypothesis that dementia with Lewy bodies and Parkinson's disease with and without dementia represent different stages on a spectrum of Lewy body disease. (RH). |
