Annotation | CORE (COntinuous REcording) is a system developed jointly by the National Housing Federation (NHF) and the Housing Corporation, and is used to record information on both registered social landlords (RSLs) lettings and sales in England. The present analysis has been designed as a contribution to the ongoing debate on the relationship between housing tenure and migration; and it also considers issues relevant to current housing policy particularly in relation to neighbourhood regeneration. The report demonstrates that the overwhelming majority of RSL new tenants are housed in the same region and local authority of their previous residence, and that when they do migrate across an administrative boundary, most move to an adjacent area.
