AnnotationThe Policy Studies Institute (PSI) were responsible for the overall coordination and management of this Initiative and produced this newssheet to disseminate the experience gained through the 15 participating authorities' local project teams. An advisory group supported this initiative. This Initiative was designed to identify ways in which day and domiciliary services could be developed, to help avoid people having to be admitted to residential care. It also encouraged local authorities to work more closely with the voluntary sector. Published quarterly. The Initiative closed in 1997. (KJ).
