Annotation | Hope was defined as an inner power directed towards enrichment of "being". In this particular study, overall hope levels among the 30 terminally ill subjects were high - with the exception of those diagnosed with AIDS - and were found to remain stable over time and across background variables. Based on interview responses, seven hope-fostering and three hope-hindering categories were identified. (OFFPRINT.) (RH). |
