| Annotation | This annual publication presented detailed statistics based on DoH returns, reflecting the position for a survey week in the autumn. (Summary figures are still published in an annual Statistical Bulletin). It covered services purchased or provided by local authorities for people living in the community, covering home help and home care services; meals delivered to people's homes or served at luncheon clubs; and day centres. Services provided by the private and voluntary sector without any local authority funding are not covered. The returns for home care (HH1) are still collected but only available on the DH website. The publication always contained copies of the statistical return forms used to collect the data; a list of related PSS publications; an index and a more recently a quick table finder.
