Annotation | The cognitive and memory functioning of 31 older Israelis (mean age 79.6) attending a memory club in Jerusalem provided a social and clinical framework for older people suffering from severe memory problems. Assessments using a repeated measures intra-individual design were performed every four months during one year. Results of the study showed that although a statistically significant decrease was observed in participants' overall cognitive functioning, memory functioning was improved or at least maintained.
