Annotation | Smart home projects are springing up around the country to explore the use of technology for enhancing the quality of life of people with dementia. This is the first of a regular feature on technology and dementia, and looks at different models under development. It considers use of existing technology, barrier-free housing, and the "caring home kit". The article also features the Gloucester smart house and examples of some of the devices used. (RH). |
