Annotation | Hearing the Voice of People with Dementia is a project exploring the process of staff, rather than outside researchers, undertaking service user consultation work with people with dementia. The article focuses on three types of approach that staff have developed and used to encourage clients and residents to express their views about services: non-verbal communication; pictures and other visual stimuli; and conversation through other activities.
