Annotation | This pilot study in Hong Kong involved establishing a videoconferencing link between a regional hospital and a care and attention home. Using this system, a psychogeriatric outreach team provided 140 psychiatric assessments to 45 residents of the care and attention home over 11 months. Videoconferencing was found to be highly feasible. It was acceptable to staff and patients, and more cost-effective than on-site visits. (RH). |
