AnnotationThree questions relating to ageing anxiety are considered. First, is ageing anxiety a meaningful undiminished construct? Second, what is the age pattern of ageing anxiety? Third, what factors influence ageing anxiety? Among the findings are: ageing anxiety can be measured as a single construct; fear of social losses does not appear to be a concern about ageing; the age pattern of anxiety is declining, except across mid-life; and race, gender, socioeconomic status, current health, income, education, and knowledge about ageing each affect ageing anxiety.
