AnnotationThis is the fifteenth in a series of briefings which aim to provide an introduction to a variety of lifelong learning issues. It summarises some recent major reports focusing on older people. While these may be welcome, it notes that older learners' needs are marginalised by funding constraints and vocational learning. Recommendations are made for enabling older people to begin or continue to enjoy the benefits of learning in later life, in line with some examples of good practice. (RH).
