Annotation | Economists predict that the American generation of baby-boomers will reach retirement lacking adequate financial resources. The present investigation was designed to examine the factors influencing individuals' financial preparedness for retirement. 230 participants completed questionnaires regarding their own personal retirement planning practices. The structural model used revealed that both personality constructs and financial knowledge were significant predictors of pre-retirement planning. Education and marketing need to be developed according to people's prediliction to save. (RH). |
