AnnotationThe inspection notes examples of good practice in: joint working (including discharge arrangements); the use of quality circles, a clinical audit programme, and appraisal and development of staff; introduction of a direct GP referral system in the day hospital and timely discharge letters to GPs; and a number of initiatives in rehabilitation. At Four Hills Nursing Home, there was high quality of care matched by a good quality of life for patients. The quality and comprehensiveness of clinical care was noted as very good, but the standard of accommodation and quality of life for patients at Stobhill Hospital was in need of improvement. (RH).
