Annotation | Dumfries and Galloway mental health services are in transition and undergoing major changes. Quality of care and environment were found to be excellent in most of the old age and provisional continuing care services. Recommendations of the inspection included: reviewing the role and function of different parts of the rehabilitation service; and investigating processes of joint commissioning and provisioning of services for older people to promote a smoother and quicker transition between services.
