Annotation | The research reviewed considers contrasting approaches to residential care, and the different lifestyles the residents may experience as a result. The second study, "Homely residential care" by Caroline Holland and Sheila Peace (Open University, 1998) is a study of small homes for four or less older people, and focuses on a more domestic approach.
