Annotation | The recent bout of care home closures is causing concern for all those involve din the care sector. There were 458 recorded closures during 1998 and it is forecasted that 4% of care homes will close during 1999 equating to almost a dozen each week. The biggest concern is of course what happens to the thousands of vulnerable older people who thought they had a home for life. This is not a new problem. NHFA provides advice free to all regardless of means on care home fees. (KJ). |
