Journal title | International Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry, vol 15, no 11, November 2000 |
Pages | pp 1005-1008 |
Keywords | Dementia ; Terminal care ; Informal care ; Attitude. |
Annotation | A survey of 50 carers of people with dementia found that many wish for them to have active treatment in life-threatening situations. Carers' decisions are not strongly linked to disease parameters affecting quality of life. Improved discussion of end-of-life decisions and patient advocates may be helpful. (RH). |
