AnnotationThe Judgment Questionnaire sub-test (JQ) of the Neurobehavioral Cognitive Status Examination has potential for examining aspects of executive function. However, existing data do not provide reliability or validity measures, or information on the effects of age, education and gender for over 60s. Because the screening technique of administration and scoring produces scoring anomalies, the authors broadened and clarified scoring criteria and administered all four JQ items. The JQ's utility was evaluated by examining its reliability, discriminant and construct validity, and the effects of age, gender, and education in healthy older volunteers and those with probable Alzheimer's disease (AD). (RH).
