AnnotationThe objective was to validate the Chinese version of the Minimum Data Set - Home Care (MDS-HC) for Hong Kong Chinese older people. Respondents were 179 over 60s attending an outpatient clinic in Hong Kong. Inter-rater reliability was found to be acceptable. Internal consistency was also obtained for all the composite outcome measures in MDS-HC, as evaluated by Crohnbach coefficients. The concurrent validity of the Chinese version of MDS-HC was assessed by comparing the MDS-HC triggered Client Assessment Protocols (CAPs) and a clinician's diagnosis. There was high consistency between results from MDS-HC and clinical judgement in 20 out of 30 CAPs. (RH).
