AnnotationThis training manual is intended for anyone who is interested in setting up inter-generational learning projects. It outlines a training programme undertaken by a transnational team from Austria, Denmark, Ireland and the UK, and working on Comenius, the in-service teacher training programme of Socrates, the European Commission's education programme. The manual is in four parts. Section 1 gives general background information and makes some practical points about setting up training for inter-generational learning projects. Section 2 outlines some of the questions to be considered when planning and training, and suggests activities which can be used at the start of the programme. Section 3 covers the activities which make up the core of the training programme, and is structured around twelve "key questions", designed to help participants through a planning process. Section 4 provides additional information and materials. The other organisations involved were the Austrian Red Cross, the European Centre for Social Welfare Policy and Research, North Tyneside Council, and Shannon Curriculum Development Centre. (RH).
