| Annotation | This Statistical Bulletin includes tables on the main categories of expenditure for residential provision, main items of expenditure for day and domiciliary provision, and expenditure on social work related and occupational therapy services. Information for previous years appears in "Personal social services: a historical profile of reported current and capital expenditure 1983-84 to 1993-94, England". However, these data are in a different format from that given here which has been extensively revised following a DETR efficiency scrutiny, in 1998. The effect of which has led to a reduction in data now collected for this statistical series. (KJ). |
