Annotation | Following a series of summit meetings held by the United Nations (UN) and its specialised agencies, International Development Targets have been agreed by the entire UN membership. Halving the proportions of people in developing countries living in extreme poverty by 2015 is the focus of this paper. It sets out a strategy for achieving increased economic well-being for poor people. It is also complementary to other papers in the series that focus on the full range of International Development Targets. (RH). |
