Annotation | The diversity of relationships which may be assumed between older people and health and social care providers are examined from the perspective of service users. Insights are provided into the level of activity that older people may be able and willing to assume, including the influence they may have in the relationships with service providers. Hospital discharge and the short period after is the process analysed. The general nature of social differentiation - mainly in terms of gender and socio-economic grouping - is shown to be instrumental in determining and interpreting much of this diversity. (RH). |
