The National Beds Inquiry did it do the right job? | Author(s) | Anthony Harrison |
Journal title | Health Care UK : the King's Fund review of health policy, Autumn 2000 |
Pages | pp 3-6 |
Keywords | Hospital services ; Planning [admin] ; Long term ; Bed availability. |
Annotation | The last official study of hospitals in England was the consultation document, ""Hospital services: the future of hospital provision" (HMSO, 1980). Although the National Beds Inquiry is welcomed, it should have had a short-term as well as a long-term focus. Moreover, the long-term should also have been considered in more depth. (RH). |
