AnnotationThis is the second of this new annual series. The Performance Assessment Framework (PAF) is intended to be a set of indicators large enough to be comprehensive and small enough to be manageable. This document contains commentary (rationale for each indicator, social services objective, and full definition) and summary data for each of the indicators. Indicators of likely interest are: Unit cost of home care for adults; Admission of supported residents to residential/nursing care; intensive home care; older people helped to live at home; inspections of residential care for older people; availability of single rooms; delayed discharge; carer assessments; ethnicity of older people receiving assessment; and assessments of older people per head of population and leading to provision of service. Reference is made to the Key Indicators Graphical System (KIGS), which includes full local authority level PAF data, and allows the user to produce charts for any indicator and selection of authorities.
