Annotation | Monitor was set up in March 1985 as an Age Concern Greater London (ACGL) research project, to study the effects of financial constraints on policies for older people; to examine policy trends and the relationships between authorities and voluntary groups; and to improve Age Concern's ability to make coherent policy statements. Local Age Concern Groups in Hounslow (Feltham, Hanworth and Bedfont), Greenwich, Hammersmith and Fulham, Lambeth, Bexley, Southwark, Haringey, Brent, Islington, and Wandsworth obtained the information. The report presents borough profiles on community services, meals services, and home help services. Appendices include questionnaires used in obtaining the information. (RH). |
