Annotation | The study day was the eighth in a series begun in May 1988 as a means of discussing matters of common concern, and co-ordinated by women, paid and unpaid, working in retirement. The aim was to give older women from different backgrounds and ages the opportunity to gain knowledge about the European Community (EC). Older women's issues as regards the Single Market and questions of "harmonisation" were explored. Networks and links available with older women in other European countries were discussed, concluding with a response to the EURAG Manifesto for Older Women in Europe. (RH). |
