Annotation | Affordability is assessed in this report in terms of both the proportion of income paid in rent, and how much income is left over after paying rent. The report is concerned with the rents and service charges paid by pensioner households, their incomes and housing benefit, and the affordability of the gross rents in terms of these two measures. The information presented is based on the NFHA's CORE system which monitors housing associations' lettings, and relates to data for 1991/92. (RH). |
