| Annotation | The World Assembly on Ageing (held in Vienna in 1982) will justify itself only if it leads to action which will produce an acceptable quality of life for older people in all countries. Help the Aged commends for endorsement by the Assembly the following essentials worldwide: a world view of all older people; health; income through paid employment or an adequate pension; equal rights and opportunities in paid employment and retirement; housing and accommodation; the family and the community; education; death and dying; and achieving the essentials.
