Annotation | The Befrienders programme is an intergenerational programme in a rural community, developed to help homebound and isolated older people who needed assistance and companionship. Young people from the community and the local university were recruited to visit, actively interact with, and assist the older persons on a weekly basis. This paper describes the collaborative work and processes, and present evaluation data from participants. (AKM). |
