Annotation | The survey was launched by the Department of Social Security (DSS) in 1992. The first full report was the 1993/94 survey. It presents statistical information on the social characteristics and income of a representative sample of households in Great Britain, including households with older people. The FRS uses a larger sample than other government social surveys (Family Expenditure and General Household Surveys) and is specific to DSS related topics. HMSO published the report for 1994/95 and 1995/96 with the Corporate Document Services taking over from 1996/97 (4th edition). |
