Annotation | Loss of balance and subsequent falls among older adults is a major health issue in geriatric medicine. This study examined the effects of 18-month aerobic walking and strength training programmes on static postural stability among 103 older adults with knee osteoarthritis. Results indicate that long-term weight training and aerobic walking could significantly improve postural sway in older, osteoarthritic adults. (AKM). |
