AnnotationMost of the recommendations made in the previous review of mental health services in Ayrshire and Arran in 1994 have been implemented. This report notes that the standard of patient care in most areas is very good, with some examples of excellent care in the fields of old age psychiatry and adult day services. The development of a multi-disciplinary team approach to care is in its infancy; and the plan for reconfiguring the full range of mental health services is realistic and achievable. (RH).
