Annotation | This summarises the DSS Research Report no.105, which presents findings from the pensioner Income Support (IS) pilot exercise conducted by the Department of Social Security (DSS) and the follow-up survey undertaken by the National Centre for Social Research. The pilot was designed with two objectives: examining the most effective and cost-efficient ways of identifying IS entitled non-recipients (ENRs); and then examining the most effective and efficient ways of encouraging ENRs to claim. The summary looks at claim outcomes, and attitudes to claiming IS once ENRs had been persuaded to claim. (RH). |
