Annotation | Multidisciplinary assessment of people with dementia in a day hospital setting offers many advantages as well as challenges. The authors tried out CarenapD (the Care Needs Assessment Package for Dementia), and report on a pilot study of its use at Balgownie Day Hospital, Aberdeen. All staff were keen to continue using CareNapD in the future, and felt it had improved assessment. However, CarenapD was not sufficient on its own. (RH). |
