Annotation | Circle dancing is a way of communicating through touch and rhythm that can provide emotional security, encourage expression of feelings, and also improve balance, motor and social skills. It therefore has much to offer people with dementia. The author describes her work at a day centre run by Brighton and Hove Social Services Department (SSD) and sessions held of this form of dance therapy. (RH). |
