Annotation | These guidelines are based on Age Concern London's experience of involving older patients in five GP surgeries as part of a National Lottery Charities Board funded action research project, reported in detail in "A voice for older Londoners in the doctor's surgery". The project showed that listening to and respecting older people's views can be rewarding; but to do it well, surgeries have to be prepared to commit time and resources. This leaflet provides practical advice on getting started, based on participants' experiences. (RH). |
