Annotation | The concept of "successful ageing" developed in the US as an example of a preventive approach has the message that it is never too late to begin healthy habits such as smoking cessation, sensible diet, and exercise. This short article focuses more specifically use of technology in assistive technology and inclusive design, that extends the usability and accessibility of housing to older or disabled people. If such innovations are to have any impact, then the results of research need to be demonstrated in practice and disseminated more widely. (RH). |
