AnnotationOf relevance to older people is the Joint Community Care Project established in 1997 in partnership with the Bishops' Conference Committee for Social Welfare. This Project examines how the 1990 NHS and Community Care Act is affecting Roman Catholic providers, users and carers. Work was commissioned from the Department of Social Policy of the University of Birmingham to carry out the research and their report, "The Catholic Church and Community Care", produced in 1998.
