AnnotationThe ESRC Programme on Household and Population Change was established in 1994 to carry out new research on the inter-relationship between household living arrangements and broader demographic change in the UK. This report focuses on themes rather than the 17 individual projects, and attempts to draw out the main policy implications. For example, a chapter on older people considers kinship and social networks, household composition, and health in old age. (RH).
